Definitely the weakest in the original trilogy, but still an amazing movie. You can see a lot more connections with modern zombie/horror movies more in this than anything else done pre 90's, with the addition of over the top characters in a setting that really doesn't require them .George Romero creates such a fantastic universe where it seems anything possible that could go wrong does.
