Batman Begins Review

                Batman Begins 5/5

To say this is a masterpiece would be an understatement. Not only the single greatest Batman/Comic book adaptation, but I will go as far as to say one the greatest movies ever made. Christopher Nolan creates a world in which Batman truly exist, also in a world that batman is actually needed in. Unlike "Batman" Gotham City actually needs a person to jump rooftop to rooftop, and save the weak form a abusive corrupt capitalist society, that offers no help to the people that need it most. In "Batman" there is approximately a grand total of one dirty cop in your police force, why do you need batman when .1% of your police force is doing their jobs?  In Batman Begins we see the entire mindset of Bruce Wayne be destroyed by vengeance and apathy and then to be built back up by justice and empathy. One of the most important things about Batman Begins is Christian Bale, an actor who gets into the minds of the characters he plays and truly becomes them, which is obvious throughout the entire film. We see Bale play three different characters Bruce Wayne, Batman, and the reflected image of Bruce Wayne, the despicable yuppie that is everything the real Bruce stands against (Apathy). I can honestly say without any doubt that we will never see anything quite like this in a comic book movie again, where a hero is cut wide open for the entire world to see but I his true self is hidden from society, no one will ever really know Bruce Wayne.
