It's without a doubt the greatest heist/crime movie ever made. I think its almost impossible to not want to become a bank robber after seeing this. It's urban Gothic style creates such an overwhelming atmosphere its almost a privilege to watch the story unfold. Evey single performance was absolutely phenomenal, Pacino and De Niro were really at the top of there game, not to mention the really subtle acting of Val Kilmer that really completes the movie. It's gritty realism adds to the great atmosphere of the movie that when the final heist scene of the movie occurs you are in absolute awe. Mann has created such a deep film, that I can't express how much it means to me.Heat is a modern masterpiece that deserves every single bit of praise it has received.
